The renowned style of Lyudmila Baronina creates a plot that formally resembles an illustration for a children’s book. A corpse becomes a part of a mysterious mechanism. The mice are busily tuning up something that resembles an organ put together from a dead pigeon and gun cases. All surrounding nature bears the stamp of the inanimate: battle grenades are flapping around on dragonfly wings, a rifle clip crawls into the depths of the earth like a centipede, the growing acanthus leaves is an alabaster. A beautiful and tragic scene becomes a meeting point for the natural and human weapons of destruction. However, there is no man himself in this world, and without him unexpected connections are established between objects. The artist leaves the pleasure of unveiling them up to the viewers.
