The title of the work merges together the names of two famous Russian tennis players. The viewers do not understand which of them is depicted, because the athlete’s face is almost completely hidden. In the foreground is the detailed part of her body. The racket in her hands, an attribute of the profession, is turned so that it is not easy to distinguish it. Thus the artist reproduces the optics widespread in modern media, objectifying athletes — the eye focuses on the parts of the body of this generalized tennis player, while her personality and professional activity fade into the background.
