The crumpled image of the city in the tapestry is decomposed into signs that open up anew — in isolation from the usual environment. Each tapestry has a title that conceptually re-assembles the elements of the image. An important principle for the artist is not to buy new materials for her works: all the threads for her tapestries were either found in the family reserves left over from her grandmothers, or donated by friends.
