Andrei Olenev is a Nizhny Novgorod painter, street artist, a member of the Muddlehood graffiti writers group, a co- founder of Tolk Gallery. He is known for his murals on the facades of old buildings in the historical center of Nizhny Novgorod. Andrei is a participant of street art festivals, including Zdes (Voronezh) and Art-Ovrag (Vyksa). His works have been exhibited in Triumph Gallery and Arsenal Center for Contemporary Art (Nizhny Novgorod). The very title of the work refers to the metaphysical reality which gives birth to a double or, rather, a shifter and mirror phantoms that link the exterior and the interior in an encrypted, mystical form of expression. Every detail of the work is related to the part of space and state determined by the surrealistic mixture of the cultic liberation and the return to the shifter image through a ritual hypnotic trance.
