Vladimir Migachev’s works from the “Forest” series are small, but focus on expressing his range of themes and techniques. Both paintings are a poem about how the forest engulfs the Russian village, absorbing the houses, sprouting its powerful trunks, displacing light human dwellings with an array of dark thick colors. In “Landscape 03-19”, an abandonment of the home is underlined literally by a thin red line.
