But like any fairy tale, Liuda Baronina’s stories have a dark side: the secluded shelters are a trap from which one cannot get out, a silver stand is crowned by an ordinary three-liter jar, and the heroes are trying to escape from an old metal net meant for carrying eggs. In this juxtaposition of magical and banal plots, even vulgar details of everyday life hold a unique sense of (black) humor — another trick of Baronina.
