The “Escape” series of tapestries was created by the artist as her reaction to the stress of being present in the urban space. Sasha fuses the inconsistent visual rubbish that fills the city – advertisements, road signs, street decorations — with traditional patterns and prints. The use of textiles softens the effect of a visual explosion. Clear lines break and bend on the woven fabric making the visuals look more organic.
