Maksim Trulov and Ksiusha Lastochka are a duo of young artists from Nizhny Novgorod. Both were born in 1991: Maksim from Nizhny Novgorod and Ksiusha from Saint Petersburg. Graffiti meeting animation, their style developed from a junction of their directions: black and white drawings depict situations within a certain circle of recognizable characters to form a universe of comics. They do street art, graphics and sculpture. Their work has been presented at their exhibition, “Your mum`s knight”, at the FUTURO gallery in Nizhny Novgorod, and most recently at the Cosmoscow fair in Moscow. As children, we are taught to listen. “Lovely heads” depict the emotions of boys and girls (and adults) reduced to nothing else, yet, in that solidarity, are ready to become real heroes. The main point: stop reflecting on the character’s meekness and release your own inner-child.
