Vladimir Seleznev was born in 1973 in Nizhny Tagil. In 2002, he graduated from the Graphic Arts Department of the Nizhny Tagil Pedagogical Institute. He worked as a manager at the Urals branch of the Contemporary Art State Centre. Vladimir Seleznev’s artistic arsenal includes a variety of techniques, including graphic arts, painting and installation. He was a participant in the first triennial of contemporary Russian art at the Garage Museum (2017). The “Current Moment” series was introduced by Vladimir Seleznev as a graphic study of constructivist and modernist buildings in Yekaterinburg, which are landmarks of the city. Now the artist is expanding the geography of his works: In 2019, the series was expanded with two iconic buildings for Krasnodar: the Shukhov Tower and the Aurora Cinema.
