Krasnodar Contemporary Art Auction MOST invites regular bids on October, 29 at Krasnodar Regional Art Museum n. a. F. А. Kovalenko. Potential purchasers and art lovers can get acquainted with most works from 18 to 28 of October at the pre-sale exhibition. At the auction you can see works of promising young authors as well as artists, having gained a reputation by successful participation in auctions, exhibitions and high-status international projects. The auction is rich in contemporary art of different genres and movements, to a lesser degree - in easel graphic works and pieces of art. Authors of works are present-day artists in Russia, most part of whom work in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Krasnodar.
Artists can be roughly united by several movements: The group “in charge” for the more traditional approach to figurative problems of contemporary art includes Pavel Otdelnov, Alexander Dashevskiy, Alexey Lancev, Eugenia Buravleva, Konstantin Lupanov. Alrxander Chursin, Maxim Bashev and Vladimir Kolesnikov continue to steer in line with postmodern discourse. Renat Voligamsi will be presented at the bidding for the first time, his project “Village” has opened recently in 11.12 Gallery (Moscow). Krasnodar audience will also for the first time see works of Vladimir Sementsev, Ivan Korshunov, Anastasia Kuznetsova-Ruf, Darya Kudinova and Vladimir Potapov.
One of the young authors deserving attention is Ludmila Baronina, who together with Alexander Chursin took part in last year’s exhibition “The Collective Conscious. Dialogues with Classics” (CCA WINZAVOD).
Special focus should be placed on Recycle Group, working with new artistic tools and materials, whose project “Conversion” was triumphantly greeted by critics at the Venice Biennale, and who are right now presenting their new project at the solo exhibition DETECTED REALITY at Richard Taittinger Gallery in New York. Many artists taking part in Most auction were presented at Cosmoscow 2016 – the only international fair of contemporary art in Russia.
Lots of the auction have undeniable artistic merit and high investment attractiveness. “Most” Catalogue of lots was issued to introduce works in detail, its cover has been decorated by Alexander Chursin’s painting for the second time in the auction’s history.
Even now we can already speak about works to become the bidding favorites and to attract the most attention of the audience. These very paintings can really be vied for. They are “Stereomovie” by Andrey Rudyev, “Rainbow by Malevich” by Vasily Slonov, “Nirvana” by Maxim Bashev, “Darwing saves the queen” by Alexander Chursin, and by all means works of Rinat Voligamsi and Recycle Group.
